Frida Figueroa is a Guatemalan artist and graphic designer shaped by a multicultural education in Costa Rica and the United States. As an emerging creative, her work across ceramics, painting, photography, and design, exploring themes of identity, vulnerability, and strength through both visual and conceptual languages.
Her practice moves between intimate commissions and conceptual projects, such as The Gospel of a Mutant, always rooted in storytelling and symbolism. With a collaborative, client-first approach, they listen closely to each vision and translate it into thoughtful visual solutions, blending artistic sensitivity with current design trends and clear communication from concept to final delivery.
Frida’s artistic vision is driven by a desire to question and reimagine how identity is shaped. Through symbolic language and conceptual exploration, her work delves into the emotional landscapes of alienation, transformation, and the body’s negotiation with societal structures. Frida’s process begins with curiosity and collection. She gathers fragments of stories, textures, objects, and photographs, letting them suggest form and meaning. Sketching and writing help her translate these impressions into visual language. Whether she is building a ceramic vessel, layering a painting, or composing a conceptual photograph, she works intuitively, allowing accidents and imperfections to guide her. Symbolism plays a key role: flowers, string, found objects, and natural materials often appear as metaphors for connection and resilience. Each piece evolves through experimentation and dialogue, balancing technical skill with the spontaneity that keeps the work alive.
